UPDATE January 21, 2011:
Today TMZ was invited into Zsa Zsa Gabor’s Mansion for a short tour by Gabor’s husband Prince Frederic Von Anhalt. I didn’t know what to expect based on the aerial shots – but inside the home are “a golf-leaf mirrored dining table, crimson walls, canopy beds, horse busts, lavish hutches and sconces” notes Curbed LA. The video tour is short, shaky and mostly amateur. I’m not sure if publishing this tour was a great idea on Prince’s part – why not wait until the home is officially listed and put together an HD tour? After all the home is reportedly being listed at $28 Million and I think this tour hurts the price.

UPDATE January 20, 2011:
Zsa Zsa Gabor’s daughter Francesca Hilton is scoffing at reports her mum and stepfather have put their Bel Air mansion on the market, insisting the $28 million asking price is too inflated to be true.
Socialite Hilton also insists her stepfather, Prince Frederic Von Anhalt, has no right to sell the famous 26-room property because a pre-nuptial agreement he signed before marrying Gabor in the 1980s forbids him from profiting from the mansion.
Hilton’s publicist Edward Lozzi says, “The price is so inflated that it is not considered to be seriously for sale here in Beverly Hills Real Estate circles.
“Also it was revealed during investigations in a previous lawsuit between Von Anhalt and Hilton, that Von Anhalt gave up all financial interests to the house. Documents are on public record. ”Hilton claims that Von Anhalt has no right to sell the house or partake in the assets of same, unless he can prove otherwise.”

Hollywood legend Zsa Zsa Gabor and her husband Prince Frederic Von Anhalt have finally decided that their Bel Air Mansion is too much of a nuisance to keep, and are putting it on the market for $28 Million. The home which carries some Hollywood History including being built by Howard Hughes in the 1950′s and serving as Elvis’ residence for nearly four years while filming movies in Los Angeles is said to be 8,000 Sq. Ft. with 26 rooms. Von Anhalt tells TMZ.com, “(He’s) sick and f**king tired of paying $30,000 a month… because we only use two rooms in the house.” The property was said to be purchased sometime in the 1970′s from Elvis’ Estate for only $600,000 – while 10 years ago the couple were offered $18 Million!
The couple are planning on listing the home in the $25 – $28 Million Dollar range and are wanting to move into a more modest $1.5 Million Dollar condo – “something Zsa Zsa always wanted” Gabor recently had half her leg amputated due to a development of a serious gangrene infection. She remains in Hospital but is talking and responding well following the surgery. Recovery time can take up to 4 weeks, and with her 94th birthday quickly approaching on February 6th we’re wishing her a speedy recovery!
As far as a Mansion goes, do you think it’s worth anywhere near $28 Million?
