
High End Cars Seized from Megaupload Founder’s Mansion

Authorities in the United States have charged the founder of Megaupload, one of the Internet’s most popular file-sharing sites, and six others in charge of its operation with running a criminal piracy enterprise causing $500 million in damages to copyright owners. Authorities in New Zealand flew in by helicopter to Kim Schmitz rented $30 million estate. They seized roughly $50 million worth of personal & company assets including art, electronics, cash and vehicles. Web developer, Elliot Kember, rushed to the scene of the raid and photographed the cars being towed away. It’s estimated nearly $5 million worth of cars were hauled away from the estate.
